Sold Henry Deringer Pocket Pistols. In the N.O. City Directory of 1853 they was listed as
dealers in guns, pistols and military goods. In 1861 the company (LA) Hyde & Goodrich became Griswold, Thomas & Co. The barrels of the Hyde & Goodrich deringers were made by Henry Deringer and are marked in three lines Mand for Hyde and Goodrich Agents, N.O. or Mand for Hyde and Goodrich Agents, N. Orleans Firearms marked "HYDE & GOODRICH; AGENTS FOR THE UNITED STATES SOUTH, were just imported prior to the civil war. .41 caliber percussion, single shot deringer, 2 7/8" barrel right side .41 caliber percussion, single shot deringer, 3" barrel right side 16 gauge percussion, side by side shotgun, lock marked Hyde & Goodrich and barrel rip is marked New Orleans. left side right side |
